Visit to One of the Most Advanced Greenhouse Projects in Serbia — Confirming the Potential

In October, the Salad Fund team visited the village of Prhovo in Serbia, home to one of the most advanced multispan greenhouse complexes in the region. The project specializes in cultivating premium-quality peppers for export to demanding markets, serving as a perfect example of how modern greenhouse technology and precise climate control can deliver exceptional results.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to witness firsthand the efficiency and sustainability of this production model — from optimized water usage and advanced ventilation systems to the outstanding quality of the final produce.

This experience further reinforced our core belief at Salad Fund:
that modern greenhouse farming represents the future of agriculture — combining stable yields, reduced resource consumption, and top-quality crops.

In the coming months, similar greenhouse systems will be implemented within Salad Fund projects, enhanced with new innovations that enable year-round production and maximum efficiency per square meter.
